- Claire's E-mail address is clairedos@yahoo.com - Claire is currently 50 years old, and has four children. - She went to Tranquility Secondary School up to Form 5, then to Poly Technique for Form 6 where she took Chemistry, Physics, Accounting, GP. - She found Accounting a little easier, and so she went into the field of Accounting. - Careers that Claire thought about when she was younger were: Engineering Accounting - She worked at PwC, Aegis, and a Waste Water Treatment company which was initially run by an English firm and then taken over by a Mexican firm. - Then six years ago she left to start her own business. - Claire runs her own accounting firm, and is currently exploring some additional options in Project Management and Business Consulting because she wants to move out of the mundane type accounting work to a higher level. - She prefers to self-employed. - She completed ACCA Masters (Business Admin - Management) November 2015, and she should be completed her ACCA Professional by mid-2017. - I then discussed the results of the VoSCA-R assessment with Claire, specifically her scores in the various categories of Interests, Intelligence Types, Values, and Work Styles. Takeaways from Session #1: - Claire liked the process of doing the assessment she feels a little clearer about the process of career discovery. Action Plan from Session #1: - Claire agreed to review the VoSCA-R report in more detail and research on the Internet using the O*Net Online Career Research Tool (www.onetonline.org) the recommended careers above which she scored 4 or more out of 10, and document her research in this password-protected blog under the section at the end called “Leave a Reply”.
