I want to commend you on being open, for the sharing of information, and willingness to put in the required action on your end. Takeaways from Session #1: - Your main take away from Session 1 was that you are happy to have an accountability partner and framework for action moving forward. You have thought about making changes in the past, but, as you never had anyone checking in on you, no real change that took place. - You would like to improve your overall relationship with "the 20%" - You feel excited and nervous The areas you chose to focus on were: 1. Conflict and Dealing with difficult employees 2. Execution- you are good at Planning but require support in Execution 3. Giving feedback 4. Vision 5. Action Plan from Session #1: - On or before 15 March, you agree to schedule one-on-one sessions with all 8 technicians to get their perspective on areas where you can develop your leadership skills - On or before 15 March, you agree to review the MEIQ report and identify 1 or 2 areas you would like to improve. - On or before 15 March, you agree to review the YouTube videos in the "Resources" section of your blog. Coaching Session #2

DATE: 5 April 2018

Acknowledgements from Session #2: Adrianna, I commend you for the steps you have taken thus far in completing your action plan from Session 1. It shows that you are committed to your personal development. I also commend you for recognising the "why" behind not being able to complete your action plan fully, i.e. you identified that you procrastinate on the things which you do not enjoy doing. Self awareness is always the first step to change and you certainly took ownership of this limitation. Takeaways from Session #2:

One of your main takeaways from Session 2 was recognising that although you find starting challenging activities to be "difficult", you actually enjoy the process once you are involved. This refers specifically to the one-on-one sessions with the technicians to discuss your leadership skills and areas for development
You recognised that what may work for you is doing the "difficult" things first, and, by difficult, you mean the activities you rather not do
Another approach you recognised is to give yourself no other option than completing the task with no chance of delay i.e. no excuses
In response to the quote "Our responsibility as leaders is to create an exciting but safe adventure for our people, worthy of them devoting their lives to"- John Mc Farlane: Chariman- Barclays, you felt that you will rate yourself as a 0 for the "20%" and this is something you may want to consider working with Jason on
You may be operating with restrictive limiting beliefs that may not be true; this relates to your creativity/innovation and, in general, giving yourself credit for your strengths
You would like to focus on the areas of Assertiveness and Problem Solving

Coaching Session #3

Acknowledgements from Session #3: Adrianna, I would like to acknowledge the change in your mindset, language and managerial style especially with the "20%" I notice a sense of wanting to develop your team and integrate each team member in the operations, even those who you feel to be less engaged. This marks the trait of a true leader. Takeaways from Session #3:

You recognise the importance of having an open mind and that there are many avenues from which you can choose. You are not restricted to one path
You feel more confident after these sessions especially with setting up meetings with the 20%
You enjoy the process since it leads to accountability for yourself as you have ideas but may have a challenge in getting started
You want to live a fulfilled life with the ultimate goal of being happy

Action Plan from Session #2: - You agree to continue celebrating your progress!!!!! - You agree to continue speaking to your boyfriend on his perspective of life and allowing him to challenge your thinking beyond what you were told, and expectations for you, either by yourself or by others. - You agree to continue scheduling one-on-one sessions with the technicians to get their perspective on areas where you can develop your leadership skills. You may use a different avenue- instead of formal sessions, you may choose an avenue of informal communication. Deadline- 11 May 2018 - You agree to get feedback from the 20% on how they felt about scheduling them for the new labelling machine. This includes how they viewed the activity, their views of you giving them this responsibility and how the responsibility was delegated to them. - You agree to expand on the mission and vision statement which you started and list associated goals. Deadline- 1st or 2nd week in May I look forward to our next session on Monday 14 May 2018 at 11.30am!

Coaching Session #4

DATE: 28 May 2018

Acknowledgements from Session #4: Adrianna, this session completes the first quarter of our coaching together. Over these 4 sessions I have noticed a tremendous shift in your thinking style. As a result of this shift you have experienced different results; results that you perhaps did not think possible. Takeaways from Session #4:

You enjoyed the sessions, saw a positive outcome and hope to continue in the future
Improved teamwork- a better relationship with you and the team; also the team members have a better relationship with each other.
